• "Like many of my paintings, this one was painted 'en plein air', outdoors, working directly from life, at the Historic Judson House (across from the Contemporary Art Museum). For many years, the home was a gathering place for creatives brought together by Stan Jones with sidewalk art installations, First Friday walks, and house concerts held in the front living room. The home and its owner represent the best of St. Louis; people who care for the history of this city and build community."
