• "On one of the first mornings that truly felt like fall, I painted outside the Saint Louis Art Museum along Art Hill. The air had that crisp, shifting feeling of the season changing, and I wanted the painting to hold onto that quiet sense of anticipation. One of my favorite parts of the process was allowing the purple ground to remain visible beneath the brushwork, creating subtle layers of color and movement that glow through the surface."
