• "The dense green vegetation of summer through the archway of a pavilion at Tower Grove Park is the subject of this oil painting. I set up under the Lily Pond Pavilion to make a plein air painting at the park one summer. The turquoise and red of the pavilion is a pretty split complimentary color relationship to the yellow greens of the plants. Through the decorative arch and aspects of the pavilion, large elephant ear plants expand in the middle ground."
